are you lying to yourself about your truths?

June 08, 2022 Maia Wilde Season 2 Episode 44
Dirt Road Less Travelled
are you lying to yourself about your truths?
Show Notes

I'm planning to do a full episode on "flow state" but consider this a precursor. I mention it a few times, but really I wound up just talking about enjoying life and how most of us struggle to do that. Why???

Why can't we just have a good time with being alive? I'm not even touching on the tragedy of human existence in this one (we'll go there, and we have before), but today, what do you need to do to actually like yourself and your life? Go do it!!!!

We also talk a lot about the culty aspects of culture, and how damned embedded crazy beliefs are in us. To the point that we can't tell truth from fiction. Or recognize our own truth in the face of really strong indoctrinations that are actually lies. Craziness. Tell me what you think! Email me at hello@maiawilde.com or hit me up on social media.

Grammar Corner (it was non-existent today, sorry, but here's a word I used that I didn't know what it meant -- example of a non-sentence for you right there)

Books mentioned in today's show:

Finding Flow: The Psychology of Engagement With Everyday Life, Mihaly Czi

Richard Stern was also quoted.

a·lac·ri·ty  (ə-lăk′rĭ-tē)

1. Cheerful willingness; eagerness.
2. Speed or quickness; celerity.

[Latin alacritās, from alacer, lively.]

a·lac′ri·tous (-təs) adj.

Are you ready for someone to pay attention to your life and you?

Are you ready to dig deep and make something meaningful and satisfying happen, to get over some old baggage?
